The head of Influence at a major PR agency this week said that he had seen no evidence that Influencers are effective in selling products. Although its the marketing buzz area of the moment, it seems there is a lack of evidence that investing in Influencers will lead to a direct sales uplift. The main benefits in working with Influencers are believed to be more around long-term awareness raising.
